Healing doesn't have to happen alone

Seventeen kinds of gathering across Nairobi and online. Come to one, come to all of them, or come once and never say a word β€” every version of showing up counts.

Before you come

Four things that make this work

  1. What is said here, stays here. Names and stories do not leave the room.
  2. You never have to share. "I'd rather just listen today" is a complete sentence and nobody will push.
  3. No photos of anyone else without asking them first, every time.
  4. No fixing. We are not here to solve each other. We are here to be with each other.

What people say afterwards

β€œI did not speak for the first three walks. On the fourth one I told six strangers about my brother, and none of them tried to fix it.”

β€” Nature Walks, Karura

β€œPaint & Heal was the first time in two years I did something with my hands that was not work. I cried at the sink afterwards, in a good way.”

β€” Paint & Heal

β€œCoffee Conversations gave me two real friends. We still meet, without Mura, on our own now. That is the point, I think.”

Where the day-to-day happens: check-ins, event reminders, and people answering each other at odd hours. Come in quietly and read for a while if that is easier β€” nobody is made to introduce themselves.

It is a group chat, so other members can see your number and what you write. If you would rather talk privately, book a listener or talk to Faiza.
